What To Do For Cyclic Vomiting Issue With Bluish Spot Found In Stomach Wall When EGD Was Done?

I am a nurse but have not heard of this before now. A patient who is 10, has cyclic vomiting issues. What sounds like an EGD was done and a bluish spot normally found in adults was found in her stomach wall and biopsied. Have you ever heard of this, because I have not.

Hello,

Bluish spot found in stomach wall means stomach hemorrhage, it could be a blood vessel or ulcer.

This is the cause of cyclic vomiting for this 10 years old patient.

It's very rare in children, but should consider what meds he might have used frequently (ask his parents). Plus if he has been sick since early childhood? What's his growth chart?

We should rule out any genetic problem too.

Hope this answers your query. Let me know if you have any other concern.
