Lahore i have my left Lungs is infected with Pleural Exudative Effusion, and about 1.5 Litter was removed by siring but still there is 1.5 litter red colour fuide is there as per CT scan possibilities are as follow
Hello As you mentioned that 1.5 liter fluid aspirated from the lung and still 1.5 L is there , as this is the cause of concern beside blood present in drained fluid . As you mentioned that collapsed lung with necrosis and sequestrum ( necrosis of lung tissues results in devacularized tissues and results sequestrum ). While the cause of concern is LUNG MASS. As the blood stained in aspirated fluid is in itself is an indication of tumor , while C T scan also confirmed lung mass. In my opinion get in culture of this fluid as soon as possible to rule out tuberculosis . Only two possibilities are there. 1 Carcinoma or cancer . 2 Tuberculosis . This type of fluid is not sterile . 3 Traumatic injury may be the next cause o f such fluid. In my opinion consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion. Good luck.
