What To Do For Pain And Unable To Pass Urine Or Bowels, Unable To Swallow After Drinking ?
My grandfather has ate and drank very little over the past 2 weeks, was semi consciouse for a while but now in alot of pain and unable to swallow anything so for the pain has been prescirbed diamorphine via shringe driver. Does this mean he is coming to the end of his life now?? and how much longer do you think he can survive without food or water also he has not passed urine or opened bowels for 2 days!

After going through the details of your question, it is sad that the condition of your grandfather is not good. He is very in serious condition. You didn't mention the diagnosis, the basic disease that your grand father has, but from the above mentioned details i can say that your grand father's vital organs are failing.
Her kidneys are shutting down and they are not excreting the waste materials, and these waste materials are affecting his brain also and he is losing conciousness, and also he is not taking anything. All these conditions are not good. If your grandfather doesn't pass urine and concsiciousness doesn't improve and he don't start eating or IV fluid and nutrition is not provided then he doesn't have much time, he can't survive more than few days in such circumstances. Your doctor is trying to ease his pain with morphine.
