What To Do For Sudden Loss Of Sensation In Leg And Hand?

Hi Dr.
My friend yesterday evening had something like headache... and she started closing eyes.. suddently her hands & legs were stiff and tilted for sometime.. at that moment we tried to make her calm and because was feeling unconscious we used onion to make her smell so that she can be conscious. Side by side she was vomitting continuously. We took her to nearest hospital and now after 15hrs admiting her, she is saying her right leg and hands are feeling senseless. Dr. said it may be due to loss of sodium in her body. Can you suggest what are sypmtoms and possible important need to check treatments?
