What To Do For The Numbness, Swelling And Lump In The Knee Due To Fall?

I fell and landed on the front of my knee on moderately hard surface bottom of stairs. Immediate swelling, but ice reduced it. Now, week later, bruising pale yellow/green, but there is a lump with darker bruising at base of my knee cap, and it is quite painful to touch. What is this lump? It wasn t there initially, but now is accompanied by peculiar feeling of almost numbness. Not shatteringly disabling, but don t want that lump there.

Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. You need to got your x- ray done torule out bony injury .For pain you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen.
