What To Do For The Severe Pain On The Incision Scar?

Hello. It's been almost 4 months since I was blessed by the birth of my daughter by c-section. I know that the numbing and sharp pain is normal. But I've recently been experiencing very severe pain in my right side close to my incision scar. The pain was so severe I couldn't stand up and it brought me to tears. It felt very similar to contractions. Very cramp like and squeezing feeling. Is this type of pain normal due to scar tissue and knots? Or should I schedule an appointment? Thank you!

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

This kind of pain in your scar area is not a normal phenomenon and you always need to exclude scar endometriosis. Start paracetamol for 5 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
