What To Do For The Skin Problem In The Face?

hi doctor,
I have a problem from more than 13 years ago, its a kind of skin problem that call morphea. its really bothering me since I came to Canada(its like 2 years that I immigrated)
one is in my face in right side. I don't know its stretch my skin and I don't have a normal sense during whole day. I don't use any lifting cream or .... I am using Shea butter and sun screen. no make up, no chemicals,.....
I am trying to go to a dermatologist to do something for me but I couldn't take an appointment yet!!!!
I have too mention that nobody recognize the difference of both side on my face, I can see this difference and also the big problem is skin thickness on that side which is changing . it seem more thicker and different.
meanwhile the main area that has this problem is in my back in left area under the shoulder . the main place is that part and its more than 13 years over there. I had this first and then In my face I saw the next.
please let me know what I can do .
p.s. I came from Iran, I diagnosis with hydroxyl cloroquine for more than 5 years. but it didn't get better

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Localised morphea presents as patches of hard, bound down skin. The patch can be skin colored or hyperpigmented.

The disease is usually non-progressive (you have had these patches for around 13 years and they have been there like this).

They can persist as dry, bound down patches of skin without much change and ultimately they blend with the surrounding skin and are better felt than seen. Hyperpigmentation can be improved with topical steroids.

I think you could just use a topical mid-potent steroid over the patches and don't require any more Hydroxychloroquin since the disease is not spreading and anyways the existing patches wont disappear completely even with hydroxychloroquin.

regards
