Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of bowels being released without any warning, slow erratic release after a few minutes, get a rash quickly, needs to itch and again pass the feces. You have applied Vaseline, cornstarch but still hurts so bad that you can do not want to walk. You are 63 years old and CVA on 3/17/1999 with partial paralysis on left side. Takes onnifedipine XL 60MG; VASARTAN 160 MG ; ATORVASTATIN 40 MG & asa 81 mg..
The causes I can think of for your symptoms can be :
Intestinal infection with mucus production cause all the symptoms you have.
Old history of CVA makes me think neurological cause as a possibility that needs to be considered.
I would advise you the following:
Get the stool checked and if infection get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole. Also take probiotics and multivitamins.
Do not apply Vaseline as it will make things worse.
Colonoscopy at later dates.
Further management as required.
Net an opinion about neurological cause and review.
