What To Do If Am Addicted To Xyrem Which Gives More Energy At Night And Keeps Me Awake Till 3am?

i has been using Xyrem for 4 yrs. I was using 4.5 for long time. Now I can not tolerated, makes me feel drowsy, then an one after I take xyrem I woke up. Now im trying 3.0 I wake up 1/12 later, but I have more energy. I can t sleep, but I have the energy do to the chores between 11-3am. I take mi second dosis around 12:30pm. During the day I use modafinil 200mg twice a day. The only one that really help me is xyrem ,but now I feel that if I used I can t sleep to much ,but more energy.If I don t use xyrem I sleep all night ,but the next day i feel very sleepy, tired & I can t think clearly.

Sodium oxybate, a CNS depressant, is the active ingredient in Xyrem. Modafinil is an oral drug that is used for improving wakefulness in patients with excessive sleepiness. Your are taking combination of CNS depressant and also CNS stimulant. This is the reason y u are not able to sleep in night. Xyrem is actually helps u in calming down, but i think modafinil 200 mg in day time is continuing its action in night also. This is not good, and i suggest u to consult your psychiatrist as early as possible and discuss this with him. He might change the drug or lower the dosage. All the best.
