What To Do If Having Swelling, Pain In The Knee Three Months After Having Total Knee Replacement With Little Help From Compression Bandage, Physiotherapy?

Hi Ive had a total knee replacement on the 13/11/2013, at this stage i'm still on two crutches , still unable to sleep at night, have a very swollen knee and very bad circulation in knee with lots of pain, I've been having physico once a week and doing it at home at start about 3 times a day, in the last 3 physico session I had a new Physico therapist and he told me to stop doing all the hard physico and weight bearing that my leg is too swollen and that muscels cannot work properly he told me to keep taking inflammation tablets and only do following exercises slide knee by sliding leg of operated leg up and down and sit on chair and raise leg up hold then relax , he also messaged leg and put compression bandage on it, the swelling is now down by half, but im worried in case all the work ive done is in vain and knee will cease up, stil have pain and burning ,also still cannot drive . etc I would very much appreciate your opinion on this matter as it is just 3 months now and it gets me very down.

it is very sad that after 3 months your pain has not improved. My concern is if your knee has infection. What is condition of skin near scar, is it red , warm, whether your knee hurt even when you are not doing physio.i would like to test you for white blood cell count and c reactive protien. If this is positive , you should show to your doctor. Also avoid any massage to your knee as it may cause stiffness.
