What To Feed Child With Viral Fever, Vomiting And Diarrhoea?

Hello Physician,

My son is around 1 year 7 months.He is having viral fever (temp 104 degreee).He is having loose motion along with vomitting.I am totally confused about what to feed him to stop loose motion so that he will have some energy.Please help me

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Encourage feeding with plenty of fluids like ORS solution, barley water, coconut water,energy dense foods like milk withe boiled rice and sugar (payasam).
You may also give buttermilk and curd rice.
Paracetamol 15 mg/kg 4-6 times daily depending on the requirement.
