I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
A tuberculin skin test is done to see if you have ever been exposed to tuberculosis.
The positive skin test indicate that the person’s body was infected with TB bacteria. Additional tests are needed to determine if the person has latent TB infection or TB disease. A positive tuberculin skin test does not mean you have active infection. The test cannot tell if the infection is active or inactive. It also cannot tell the difference tb infection and tb vaccination. Chest x ray is normal so he will be fine. You can see doctor for thorough evaluation and go for sputum examination.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.
Sincerely,
