What Treatment Is Suggested For Constipation For A 6 Week Old ?

I fell asleep with my 6 week old on the couch and woke up to him laying on his tummy on the carpeted floor. He wasn't crying but was alert and happy. The couch is only about 1 ft off the ground. He has been fussy but he has been constipated. Should i be worried?

Hello and welcome to HCM forum .

I understand your concern and I think you should look out for the following signs

1.Visible depression /denting of the skull .

2.Black eye (periorbital ecchymosis).

3.Any discharge of clear or bloody fluid from either ear or nose .

4.If your child has known existing brain disease like hydrocepahalus or suffers from any bleeding disorders .

Constipation is not a cause for concern ,minor head trauma is very common in young children ,so do not worry .

Just take care for any future chances of trauma .Child proof your house (cover the electricity points ),

Hope this helps take care .
