Hi, I have a sore toe quite difficult to describe .... big toe on right foot only affected. some hard skin on outer edge of toe and its almost as though there are blisters underneath the skin, doesnt appear to be swollen. Very tender and sensitive to touch, any pressure is painful and my walking gait is off kilter to try to keep pressure as low as possible

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. I suggest using an anti fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest using Fluconazole 150 mg for two days.

I recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen for the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
