What Treatment To Be Taken For Urinary Tract Infection?
my age is 35 , I have developed UTI . test shows bacteria is sensitive to cefixime . I want second opinion as to dose and duration .

Hi,
As urine culture and sensitivity showed sensitive to medicine it should be given in 200mg tablet form twice a day after meal for 14 days along with that other symptomatic management as PPI once before meal , plenty of fluids(2-3 litres/day) maintenance of hygine . Urine culture and sensitivity must be sensitive to other drug also so review with a urologist to start proper treatment (as it has recurrence if incomplete ) .
