What Treatment Will Help Severe Fever Get Down?

My daughter is13 years old. For the past 2 weeks she has had a recurring fever. She is lethargic and complaining of aches and pains when the fever is present. She has had a period of 6 days with no symptoms or fever in between but then the fever has come back. She seems to be getting these symptoms more frequently lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Intermittent high fever suggests septic focus in body/less resistance. She needs to be investigated for -
- Dental abscess /tonsillitis, malaria ,recurrent viral fever etc.
- please consult a physician for physical check up & advice for necessery investigations. This will be followed by specific treatment.
usually, suitable antibiotic/antimalerial medicines along with paracetamol / anti inflammatory drugs, vitamin B complex and rest are advised to patient while fever,
- cold sponging, lot of fluids by mouth, light nourishing diet are helpful.
- a resistance building is to be followed by high protein, vitamin, iron, calcium
rich diet with sufficient calories & healthy life style.
Thanks
