What Type Of Doctor Should Be Consulted For Chronic Pharyngitis And Sinus Inflammation?
My daughter, age 37, has had chronic pharyngitis and sinus inflammation for months. She has been in and out of the doctor s office numerous times, but does not seem to get over these symptoms. She is lethargic, run down, has a poor appetite. She is a non-smoker, but stocks stores with tobacco products. I was wondering if the tobacco could be causing this. What type of doctor should she see to narrow down the cause of these symptoms?

She has to consult an ENT specially for followup and further management. She is having chronic sinusitis and we can try antibiotics first and if the symptoms persist, better to go for surgical procedures like FESS( functional endoscopic sinus surgery).
