I just found out I have a uterine mass 7 mm in thickness. the junctional zone measures approximately 5 mm in thickness. there is a submucosal mass measuring 1.3 x1.7 cm. this mass demonstates homogeneous enhancement and is T1/T2 hypointense. imaging features are compatible with a submucosal fibroid. question should I be worrying or what type of treatment is needed.
Most of the fibroids, especially when symptomatic, need surgical intervention as a form of treatment. Medications have no role in the treatment of fibroids for the majority of patients.
