hi doctor question:me and my gf asking, we having sex without protection , I am finishing outside, aftewr that we have showe and get cleaned, she is not allowing me to have sex again until 3 hours, afraid that there is semen ramining ...... Please help

Thanks for writing in.

Please have sex with a condom on if you are having it with your girlfriend and do not want complications like pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Protected sex is the safest option if you are in a relationship for the benefit of both partners. It is true that some semen may still remain in your genital tract and even 3 hours is not enough to say that all the semen has been washed out even if you were in the shower. Besides pregnancy there are so many sexually transmitted infections which can be prevented by the use of condoms.
