What Would Be Evidence Of A Demyelinating Process?

I am a 41 year old woman who has had intermittant weakness right leg, newly onset weakness rt arm and trigemnal neuralgia for over a year. Neuro suspects possible MS. Had MRI of brain & Cspine. Brain showed miminal hyperintensity adjacent to right occipital horn on FLAIR images and minimal T2 hyperintensity in left inferior mastoid air cells, likely inflammatory. Cspine showe Tiny central t2 hyperintensity C6- tiny syrinx but unlikely to be any clinical significance. Previous MRI a year ago all normal. No Hyperintesities. Are minimal hyperintensities normal? What would signify a lesion or evidence of demyelinating process?

As per your explanation here I suggest to visit a neuro physician and take suggestion with him. There are few test like nerve conduction velocity as well few genital test about which further guideline will be given by your neuro physician.
Here understand one thing demyelination of nervous system is not a condition but it's a symptom. So problem of this could be some thing else which will result in this.
From my side for this kind of patient along with their regular medication I strongly recommend to have a good omega 3 supplement along with vitamin e because omega 3is suppose to be a material to make the myelin sheets that's the protecting material for nerves. As well also a protecting material for Central nervous system. And a anti inflammatory for our body. Along with this vitamin E is actually a anti oxidant fat soluble vitamins which can cross the fatty barriers of central nervous system and also help to reduce the degenerating process.
Hope this was useful to you. Take care
