What Would Be The Bulge Shown In MRI Scan?

I have just had the results of an MRI scan. My GP has refured me to a surgeon because it showed a bulge, what is this. I get very bad pain in my back, with the slightest movement it feels like my muscles are in a spazam it can last up to 3weeks. I am afraid to move around much in case it happens. I also get really bad stamps in the back of my legs at the top.

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

The bulge, meas that there is a slipped intervertebral disc in this region. It causes irradiating nerve pain in the back and legs.
It is a benign condition, related to a wrong posture and weight lifting, which can be treated with painkillers or surgery. Those cases which fail to improve with painkillers, are treated with surgery.
So, there is nothing to worry about! I am sure that everything will be OK.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
Best wishes!
