Whats The Dosage & Side Effects Of Metopropal Intake?
I have been prescribed with Metopropol 25mg extended release for ventricular ectopics that I get when I have late dinners especially after alcohol. Otherwise although I do have occasional ectopics, they are not significant unless it s after a late night dinner. Is the dosage ok? Also, what are the side effects?
Metoprolol-XR is a heart-selective beta adrenergic blocker commonly prescribed for the treatment of premature ventricular contractions (ectopics) in the dose of 25 mg once a day. Its common side effects include low blood pressure, decreased heartbeats, cold clammy skin, fatigue, erectile dysfunction and difficulty in breathing.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
