When Can New Nuvaring Be Inserted After Taking Off The Earlier One?

I have been using the NuvaRing regularly for almost 2 years. There was an incident with unprotected sex that occurred (nuvaring was out, no condom on), and I have since taken Plan B, and taken the Nuvaring out. When should I insert a new ring? in 7 days, or right away? I m not concerned about pregnancy as much at this point but moreso getting my cycle back on track.
