When Should Tekturna And Hydrochlorothiazide Be Taken?

I am asked by my doctor to try this throid med for 6 weeks to see if I feel better. (I am 88 and feel fine.) She said to take pill at bedtime afer asking when I take my tekturna and hydrochlorothiazie which is at breakfast. Bottle says empty stomach. What are you thoughts on when to take the med/

Aliskiren (Tekturna) is available as combination therapy with Hydrochlorothiazide. Aliskiren is direct renin inhibitor and a newer class of antihypertensive drug. Treating physician remains the best judge.
