Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in my early 60 s. I ve been taking Amlodopine Besylate 2.5 mg. for about 2 years at night. I haven t slept more than an hour or two at a time because of getting up to urinate since I started them. I have no problems during the day. Can I take the pills in the a.m. instead?
Yes, it is fine to take amlodipine in the morning. Excess urination is not a common side effect of amlodipine, but if it has caused this for you then there is no problem with moving it to the morning. You definitely need your sleep and amlodipine can be taken at any time of day.
