When Should Urine Test Be Taken After Finishing Antibiotic Course?

Went to minute clinic and urine tested positive for WBC and rbc. No symptoms except urgency to urinate often. Prescribed macrobid 100 mg twice a day. Performed azo urine test one week after finishing antibiotics. Results positive for wbcs and negative for nitrites. Should I wait longer (2 to 3wks)to test again?

Dear- Thanks for using our service. I recommend you to have the urine sample 5-7 days after finish antibiotics. The results that you had showed WBC but no nitrites, that goes with negative for infection. However, due to the fact that you still have WBC, I would recommend to repeat it in 7 days , but do an urine analysis and culture. The fact that you are asymptomatic goes agains the infection, although frequency and urgency to urinate could be because the recent infection.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
