Where Can I Find A List Of Drugs That May Interact With Steroids?

Hi, My husband is suffering an allergic attack. He usually takes a series of steroids to calm it down and he has the set of pills (6 the first day, then 5 and so on) but I recently read that this therapy may interact with other meds. Where can I find a list of drugs that may interact? YYYY@YYYY

Hi.
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query.

According to your breif history, your husband is on a short course of oral steroid which is most probably be prednisolone.
Steroid may interact with many other drugs when taken simultaneously.
The commonly prescribed drug which shows drug interactions with oral steroids are
1.ciprofloxacin and other fluroquinolones
2.bupropion
3.antiplatelet drugs like clopidogrel
4.Chickenpox vaccine
5.DMARDs used for rheumatoid arthritis
6.NSAIDS like aspirin.

In your case you have nothing to worry because you are on a very short course ofvsteroids for just six days.

Hope this information helps.
