Where Can I Get Rabies Antibody Test Done Post A Dog Bite?

Hi, I am from India and a Stray dog bit me on my Leg. I was wearing a Jeans. There was no Bleeding. I was vaccinated for Rabies 4 and half years back. I also tried checking for Rabies Antibody Test so that I can see if I already have Antibodies but to whatever labs I have spoken to, they do not conduct this TEST. Also in case you know some lab in India which carried out this test, it will be great My Question is that do I need to go for Vaccination since I had gone for it around 4.5 years back and I also wanted to know if Lets say Dog is still aive after 10 days, is it safe to assume that he could not have passed rabies to me

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Seen your recent vaccination status against rabies, there is really no major reason to get worried. Remember rabies vaccination guarantee protection for up to 10years if you were for real developed immunity against rabies after vaccination. This is not a commonly done test and it is of course not strange that you have difficulties locating a lab that doe this. If your are in doubts about your vaccination status, consider getting the rabies immunoglobulin. Also, this dog not exhibiting any signs of rabies infection after 10days is a rather reassuring finding!
