Whether Bricanyl Is Needed Or Nasal Spray And Drop Is Sufficient To Heal Nose Blockage In A 2 And Half Month Old Child?

Hi Doctor, my 2 and half month daughter had cough and phlegm 2weeks ago in Malaysia ( went for holiday), took her to pediatric gave her nebuliser stat. Put on bricanyl 1.5mg/5mls and nasal drop and spray.... after the mediation she is well, i stopped the bricanyl and we traveled back to Germany. Now its winter here, she is having nose block especially at night. She coughs only when her nose is blocked. Should i continue with the bricanyl or only with the nasal spray and drop?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
The treatment given by your doctor at Malaysia suggests that she is having bronchospasm.
Usually bronchospasm is aggravated by cold weather.
Hence continue bricarnyl nasal spray and drop.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
