Major things which will cause stroke is high blood pressure, weak heart unable to pump blood till brain level, clotting in blood vessels etc. And this things will cause either ischemia or haemorrhage in brain blood vessels that s is carotid arteries going to brain. And symptoms can be weakness of hand or leg muscles, imbalance, coordination defect, speech disturbance, sensation loss at affected body area etc. Now the symptoms and severity also depends on the amount of damage has happen due to stroke. The medications specifically we can not point out here but person who is on medication for seizures as well antidepressants and cardiac problem like blood thinner and all should check all medication and discuss the problem with their doctor before starting it.
