Which Drug Is Safe To Take With Gabapentin And Lamotrigine?

my son (18) is now taking Gabapentin 300 mg and also Lamotrigine 200mg (lamictal) He no longer can take his very effective ADD/ADHD meds Focalin because they have made him paranoid. Question is - he wants something to focus. It cant be a methalphenidate based drug though. What drug is safe to prescribe that will go with the two others mentioned above? Maybe Strattera or Adderall? Mrs Cocoziello YYYY@YYYY

Hi, Thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should try with strattera(Atomoxitine). It is a very good non stimulant medication for ADHD with less side effects and also without abuse potential. Adderall again belongs to the stimulant group. Talk to your prescribing doctor regarding this.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
