My husband was working out side . He is a builder. A 2x4 hit him in the right side of his neck. He thought he was fine but today is the next day and he can hardly move his neck. It is stiff and swollen and it is hard for him to talk. He said it is really weird

Hi. If the swelling and pain are so much on the next day, this can be due to collection of blood in muscles or just a swelling. Please have a consultation with a General Surgeon or Orthopedic Surgeon. It is advisable to go for MRI or CT scan of neck as it will help to get the correct diagnosis and further management.
