Which Medication Should I Take?

I have tested 13 for vit d3 .....the doctor first gave calcimax k2 tab for 6 months and tayo weekly for 2 months ...then when i asked for injection of arachitl , he said yes - u can take that ......so i am not sure whether i should take tablets or injection . i m a female and 40 yrs of age

You are trying to elevate your vitamin D? Take 5,000 IU of D3 per day, get some sun every day, eat vitamin D fortified foods such as milk/cheese and fortified cereals. The vitamin D will help your calcium to go up so periodically keep an eye on that. Canned tuna, mackerel, sardines, eff, beef liver and swiss cheese are all good food sources of vit D along with the fortified cereals I mentioned. You will probably have to take some form of D most of your life unless you like all of the foods I listed. Your doctor also seems concerned with your calcium intake (1200 mg/day) and vitamin K also helps in bone strength. So get clear instructions from your doctor on how much K, how much calcium and how much vit. d3 he wants you to take because it sound s like he may be treating weak bones as well. My best to you. . .
