Whom Should One Consult For Blood In Urine While On Amlodipine, Atorvastatin And Metformin?
What kind of doctor should I see for blood in the urine? I have 5 stents in my heart, 1 month ago I had my gallbladder removed (many stones all sizes) . Medicines I take are:amlodipine5mg, atorvastatin40mg, clopidogrel75mg, metforman1000ng, L-Lysine 500mg, eliquis5mg, metoprolo100mg. 1 per day for all except eliquis and metoprolo are twicea day. I started getting dizzy after my gallbladder was removed.
Blood in urine indicates that you are having bleeding form either the kidneys, ureter, urinary bladder or the urethra. It could be infection, ulcerations, polyps, stones, and sometimes due to any kind of growth. It is best you consult a Nephrologist. Doctor would get your urine testing done, including bacterial culture, renal function tests, Abdominal X Ray, for Kidneys, ureter and Bladder, and if required and MRI scan and cysto- uretero scopy. The diagnosis would be made by these tests and Doctor can then advise you on the management.
