Why Am I Having Blood In My Stool?

I just recently had my IUD removed because it was partially embedded into my uterus. I also found out the same time that the test for chlamydia came back positive. I've been on antibiotics for a few days and the pain is still pretty consistently there. I also recently developed blood in my stool... and sort of a lot too. What's going on with my body!?

Hi

Fresh blood will give bright red colour to the stool and anal fissure, hemorrhoids ,hard stool is the usual cause.

Blood and mucus in stool could denote bacterial dysentery and antibiotics are required to be used.

Dark stools may occur in upper gastrointestinal bleed due to ulcers or oesophageal varices, diverticulitis.

Rectal examination ,Abdominal ultrasound and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
