Hello,

The cause is poor posture, always maintain a correct posture while walking, sitting or sleeping. Pain is triggered due to improper lifting as it puts the spinal joints and spinal discs to stress or tears it. Slip disc is caused due to improper bending. You should sit down first before lifting anything. Hereditary disposition can be a cause of slip disc and hence pain.

Neglect may cause lumbarization & more complications. To get rid of pain you can take pain relieving medicines like Naproxen or Combiflam. Since overweight, try to loose weight by diet control and exercises under a Physical therapist. Exercise under a Physical therapist will help to reduce pain and also help prevent disc prolapse. Sometimes, spinal manipulation is also helpful.

Losing weight & complying with the other advises given will help you get rid of the problem in 3- 4 weeks. If the symptoms persist you should get clinically examined by an orthopedist, you may need treatment with opioid medicines and medicines for neuropathic pain. Surgery may be recommended if needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
