Why Am I Still Having Pain In Head With Dizziness?
i hit my head against the wall about 3 or 4 weeks ago ... the pain was almost unbearable .... it s been all this time and i still feel like i have to throw up, dizziness, confused, and pain .... doctor had a cat scan run .... he or the office never called me for the results ... what should i do ? Thank you ,,, Darrell
You may have suffered what is referred to as a traumatic brain injury or a mild concussion. It is very common for there to be headaches following these injuries for weeks to months afterward. Good that the CT scan was done and likely negative (that's why the doctor probably didn't call you) but you will want to most likely return to the doctor since your symptoms are persisting. It's possible that your nausea, dizziness, and other symptoms are due to the headaches which are to be expected. But in case not then, that's why I think you should return for a follow up. If your symptoms get worse or family members become worried for any reason then, an ER visit would be recommended.
