Why Am I Getting Pain And Short Urine Flow With A Fever?
I have just been diagnosed as a healthy 46 year old man (taking no drugs, does not drink and exercises) with UTI and prostatomegaly Grade 2. It is causing pain and tenderness and a short urine flow. It seemed to flare up within 48hrs with a fever. I have been given a double prescription of antibiotics being: Resprim Forte ( Trimethoprim and Sulfamethoxazole ). I have a good diet and would prefer a natural long term remedy if there is any. I would especially like to know if there are effective ways of maintaining a healthy prostate and myabe reducing its size? Thank you for your help. Terry
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it could be the benign prostatic hypertrophy, causing recurrent U.T.I ,or it may be the swelling of the porostate gland called the prostatitis due to the recurrent U.T.I. I advise you to consult a urologist for diagnosis and treatment . You may need to have an M.R.I,and culture and sensitivity of the urine for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, ornidazole, and diclofenac till the diagnosis is established. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses sprouts and protein rich foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
