Why Am I Having Missing Periods And Negative Pregnancy Tests?

hi this is rani i am having a 11 month child and now i have missed my periods this month? last period date 11/september/2013 and till now no periods? yesterday i checked with prega news results was negative? can u suggest me what to do? whether periods are late? or i am pregnant?

Hi Rani,
Thanks for the query.
If you are breast feeding the child, some amount of irregularity in menstrual cycles can be seen due to hormonal effect.
If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy.
Sometimes urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy.
So, you once go for blood test for pregnancy.
If the test result comes negative, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
You can consult gynecologist and take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding.
After getting withdrawal bleeding, you can use some regular contraceptive method till the time you want to postpone the periods.
