Why Am I Having Pins And Needles On Fingertips For 2 Hours?
Hi, I had very strong pins and needles in all of my fingertips for almost 2 hours. It seems to have subsided in the last 5 minutes. My elbows might be trigger as I was doing some lat pull-downs with the overhead bar on machine at college this morning.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. There is a nerve which runs around the elbow and down to the hand. It detects sensations in the little finger and half of the adjacent finger. You know how people talk about banging their 'funny bone'. Well, that is actually hitting this nerve at the elbow and it causes exactly the symptoms you are experiencing. The most likely cause is some injury to the nerve but if you have had it for two months then it has lasted longer than it would normally take for an injury to be repaired. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
