Why Am I Having Too Much Of Thirst And Frequent Urination?

Hey, so I have this desire to drink lots of fluids, mainly water, and I m passing much of it out rapidly, in about 30 minutes after consumption. Developed in the past several weeks when I started taking saw palmetto for bph. Stopped taking the herbal meds, but problem persists. Urinating about once an hour during waking hours.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query. You have not stated your age in your query.

If you are elderly your symptoms are most likely to be due to Benign Enlargement of Prostate .Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis and further treatment.
1) Routine urine test and culture
2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen.
3) serum P.S.A.
4) Blood sugar levels to rule out diabetes.

Further treatment will depend upon th findings of these tests and final diagnosis.

Thanks
Dr,Patil.
