Why Can't I Open My Mouth Wide ?

I can't open my mouth wide feels like my Jaw is ripping apart (Right Side) behind my Third Molar Tooth :( . . . I slept at my my moms friend s house, on the couch to be specific. . with my head on the couch arms not straight positioned and when I went home and slept the next day I felt behind my right Third Molar tooth it hurts and when I try to open my mouth wide feels like someone is ripping my Jaws apart? ? ?:( It s a bit swollen it looks like a strand behind my Third Molar tooth. . I know sleeping on Couch Arms is not a good idea for the neck but I slumbered away while watching the computer. . .I have no symptoms . . .but I really need a good advise if any? THANK YOU!

Good day
This can be due to Temperomandibular joint dysfuntion causing the pain behind your ear and a muscle spasm not allowing you to open your mouth (Trismus). Visit the Doctor who may give you muscle relaxants and pain killers to help . Avoid sleeping in unnatural positions again. Also get your Teeth examined for any malocclusions which can also cause a similar picture.
