Hi, sorry to bother you, im getting a bit concerned. Iv spoken to my doctor, im getting chest pain not in the middle but across the chest, i find it very painful if i try to move, and it feels like my chest is going to rip into two. Im female. 45 yrs old. dont smoke . i have had my chest x-rayed. but it came back clear. but im still getting pains they might only last 10 minutes
Hi, Thanks for writing in. In your situation, angina has to be ruled out first, due to coronary artery disease. You may consult a cardiologist and get ECG and echocardiography tests done. If any warning signs of heart problem are seen, you may have to get a coronary angiography done. Sometimes chest pain as described by you may occur due to esophagitis and gastritis.
