my son 3yr 6months suffering from cough we gave couhg syrup ,antibiotics no improvement.he is coughing 3hrs continously then suddenly cough stop.again after 6 or 7 hrs gap again cough for 3hrs,he suffering from like this cough .what is the reason every alternative month he has this problem

Thanks and welcome to HCM .
Continuous cough for hours together for a prolonged period suggest that it may be brochiolitis, whooping cough or bronchial asthma .
Better consult pediatrician to establish the diagnosis and proper treatment .
Sometimes it may be necessary to give steroids in addition to antibiotic and cough syrup.
