Why Did The Levothyroxin Pill Dissolve When It Hit The Tongue And Are They Melt In The Mouth Pills?

My sons Levothyroxin pills I refilled and whrn he took one the second it hit his tongue it swelled up and started to disolve. He has been on these pills for months and says they never did that. I looked them up that is what they are but he says the other brand had an M on them. Are these melt in your mouth? Now he doesnt want to take them?

It is possible that he was given different brand of the medications. Drug manufacturing companies may make medication slightly different but it would have similar strengths, benefits, risks and dosing.

He should consult the pharmacy to ensure that the medication is correct.
