Why Do I Experience Itching On The Trunk And Pain Under The Breasts?

For the past two weeks I have had itching on my trunk only, not arms or legs. There is no rash. I also have breast tenderness and woke in the night feeling sore under my breast. It is hard to describe, not painful, almost like a nerve sensation in the middle of the chest

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be herpes zoster..also called shingle. Consult the dermatologist immediately and get diagnosed properly,so that perfect treatment may be given by your dermatologist. He might give antiviral like acyclovir 800 mg thrice a day and to prevent post herpetic neuralgia, steroid may be taken in tapering dose. Apply silver sulfadiazine cream on the lesions. Take rest for a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
