Why Do I Feel Pain In My Index Finger While Trying To Bend It Towards The Palm ?

my index hurts everytime i try to bend it towards my palm. it feels likes its stiff and i push it harder and the pain intensifies. it is only the index feel like that my other 9 don t feel like that. and only the base of my index hurts. why is that?

Is there any history of injury to it...?

Pain only in index finger may be due to some strain like excessive writing(over use),pulled any where during woking,playing or sleeping.

consult orthopedician for better medical management.
