Why Do Starchy Food Take Long To Move Down My Throat?
When I eat starchy carbs I get a feeling like the food is "stuck" in my chest. It is extremely painful, and can last 1-5 minutes before it "goes down." When it's happening I can't swallow anything, including liquids. They just get stuck and have to be vomnitted up. This has gone on off and on for about 10 years, but has been worse in the last 4 or so.
