Why Does A 4yr Old Child Complain Of Vomitting,running Nose And Sudden Stiff Neck After Coming Back From The Trip To A Lake ?

four year old sudden stiff neck and red lesion on the back of his right hip My four year old came home from a trip to the lake with his father...funny nose...said he threw up...but was fine....his nose still runny. Now four days later runny nose...says his neck hurts when he bends it down...and a quarter size lesion on his right back hip

The stiffness in neck & vomiting are a sign seen commonly in meningitis but as your child has runny nose & red lesion it could be a bite from some organism in the lake.Please consult a doctor or ER as soon as possible he needs medical attention & investigation to rule out viral meningitis.
