My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic. Right now he has severe swelling in legs and feet with some discoloration. He has severe shortness of breath, cannot lay down to sleep, says he feels like he is smothering, Do you think that he should be rushed to hospital now? or what may be going on?
dear madam.the problem looks like he might be having infection of skin in feet called cellulitis if pain is there on touching feet. if pain is not there this might be problem in kidney I suggest you to take him to hospital and get his kidney checked regards Dr Vamsi Consultant Diabetologist
